OVERVIEW

CAMP NOKOMIS OFFERS
Nokomis offers waterfront activities on Lake Belwood such as Canoeing, Kayaking, water regattas, and fishing. In addition to the beautiful Lake Belwood, we also have a large well kept swimming pool for swim instruction periods, aquafit sessions, water polo, and free swims. All pool activities are supervised and led by a qualified NLS lifeguard.
Other programs include a 9-hole frisbee golf course, archery, campfires, arts and crafts, initiative takes, nature hikes, cook-outs, leadership talks and large camp performances such as "Nokomis Live".
ACCOMMODATIONS
Campers, as well as their leaders, are lodged in clean spacious cabins with bunk beds. Washrooms have flush toilets, hot water and showers.
Our kitchen staff of five serve wholesome meals in our dining hall. The kitchen facilities are inspected and licensed by the Health Department each summer.
MEDICAL CARE
A Registered Nurse oversees intake of new campers and all their medical needs. A medical doctor and Hospital (Groves Memorial) are located in Fergus 10 minutes from camp.

CAMP PHILOSOPHY

Each child has a right to feel safe and secure. Nokomis endeavours to allow each child to grow emotionally, socially and spiritually in a caring and supportive environment.
All living things are inter-connected; we hope that campers learn trust, tolerance and co-operation through a program that nurtures these ideals.

OPEN HOUSE
We are excited to announce that... OPEN HOUSE IS BACK! Parents, campers, and friends, please join us up at Camp Nokomis on Sunday, June 26th from 11am to 3pm for a BBQ lunch, tour, swim, and most importantly, time to meet the Nokomis leadership team! Open house is a great opportunity for new campers and their families to get familiar with camp and ask important questions they may have in person. It's also a wonderful time for returning campers to reunite and get excited for the upcoming camp season! Hope to see you there!
